Job Summary

 

Cotton Architecture + Design LLC., is a growing relationship-driven full service architectural and design studio focused on commercial projects in healthcare, office, industrial, entertainment / hospitality / retail and multi-family residential. As a relationship-driven firm it is our mission to be our clients trusted partners and provide them with the highest level of service, quality, guidance and expertise on the projects we collaborate with them on.

As Architectural Intern you will have a focused opportunity to affect the success of any given project and implementation of our firm’s mission. Responsibilities of this role range across the entire realm of architectural practice including, but not limited to, programming, design, research, construction document development and preparation and construction administration, as well as, coordination with and management of design team consultants and could include client interaction and management on a broad range of project types of varied scope.


Responsibilities

 
  • Assists with the development of the building program, design concepts, and synthesis. Implements selection of materials, colors, and finishes as prepared by Project Designer.

  • Participates with Architect in the value analysis or cost reduction activities required to keep the project within budget.

  • Be responsible for accuracy and completeness of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines.

  • Interact with all project stakeholders in a professional manner.

  • Assists in maintenance of project logs, notebooks, and files

  • Assist in coordinating and satisfying jurisdictional requirements.

  • Manage the quality and timeliness of the execution of the work

  • Fully preserves the firm’s position in the marketplace by protecting the firm liability exposure possible in all tasks undertaken in this role.


Duties

 
  • Develops and documents architectural building systems and design details.

  • Collaborates on selections of materials, colors and finishes.

  • Collaborates on information required for the execution of project specifications.
